Black church of Budir in Iceland
The black church of Budir, named Búðakirkja, stands out of the surrounding landscape thanks to its color. It is painted black with pitch to protect it from the harsh Icelandic weather. Its black color makes a wonderful contrast to the cloud mountains in the background. Although it is isolated this place is popular for weddings in Iceland! I was taking some photos when a girl with a yellow coat came close to the church and posed for her friend. I couldn’t resist not pressing the shutter.
