Brunnhorn the Batman Mountain
Brunnhorn mountain in Iceland is known due to its distinctive shape which looks like a bat. Its three peaks have given it the nickname of the Batman mountain! For sure it is very popular among photographers. Since it is surrounded by water if there is no wind you can get a beautiful reflection of Brunnhorn! Along with Vestrahorn and Eystrahorn it is one of the three ‘Horny’ mountains of the Hvalnes peninsula in East Iceland. Brunnhorn is over a six hour drive from Reykjavik, so you’d better stay somewhere in the area if you want to see it. Checking for a settlement at the city of Hofn is ideal to explore the whole area. If you travel around the island it is definitely among the must see mountains when visiting Iceland!
