This is Londrangar, a pair of huge rock pinnacles in Iceland. They are volcanic plugs of basalt, that have been hew out from softer surrounding rock by erosion. Iceland has so many places to see and photograph that you can’t be at all of them at the right time to photograph if you have just 10 days to circle the whole island. The sun was pretty harsh when we were there and although this is good if you are sightseeing it is rather difficult to shoot. Judging from the final result I am rather happy with this shot!
